CRHL Player Registration
The CRHL is a youth hockey league that emphasizes skills development with a recreational component. The goal of the CRHL is to encourage a FUN environment in a recreational skill development setting that gives all players an opportunity to play games. The CRHL is a non check league.
LHA offers a recreational hockey program for each age divisions 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U/18U. This program is designed for those that enjoy hockey but are relatively new to the game or have other interests outside of hockey that simply do not allow them to play competitive hockey.
USA Hockey Membership
Before beginning this registration you will need to register with USA Hockey. USA Hockey membership fees are determined by birth year. There is also a $20 affiliate fee for the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). You will need to enter your player's USA Hockey confirmation number to begin registration for this program.
2024-2025 Programming Fees

The season programming fees listed do not include extra team-specific expenses (also known as team fees), such as coach’s travel and accommodations, tournament fees, team events, and other unique costs, such as the end-of-year team party and coaches' gifts. These additional fees will be determined after team formation and further meetings with parents.

The CRHL Season will begin in September with evaluations.
League Structure
There is a Fall tiering season and a Winter season.
New this season the Fall tiering season will be 6 games instead of 8 games. Fall season begins in September and runs up to the end of October. Teams are then placed in tiered divisions to create like competition. Division tiers are Red (experienced), White (intermediate), and Blue (novice/beginner). Large age levels may have more than 3 division tiers. Winter season games begin the first weekend in November and run through mid February.
Ages:
- 10U - 2014 and 2015 Birth Years
- 12U - 2012 and 2013 Birth Years
- 14U - 2010 and 2011 Birth Years
- 16U/18U - 2006-2009 Birth Years
Practices and Games:
- Practices and home games will be held at Edge Ice Arena and The Ice Ranch.
- Teams will have one practice during the week and up to three weekend practices each month.
- Teams should expect to skate 2-3 times per week.
- Games will start in October. The regular season will end the weekend before Presidents Day. Playoffs will be played the weekend after Labor Day. The Avs Cup and CAHA State Championships will be played the first two weekends in March.
